Making full use of our skilled immigrants must be a national priority - Vancouver Sun Editorial

The national agreement announced by the feds this week to make it easier for immigrants to have their credentials assessed is both welcome and long overdue. We have been wringing our hands for more than a decade over the problem of foreign-trained doctors driving taxis, while hundreds of thousands of Canadians are unable to find a family physician. It's the same for dozens of other occupations. So the Pan-Canadian Framework for the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications is a step in the right direction.
