Employer Innovation Fund
The Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC) was awarded funds by the Province of BC to design, implement and manage a new funding initiative to assist BC employers, business associations and industry and sectoral organizations to attract, hire and retain skilled new immigrants. The resulting Employer Innovation Fund (EIF) was announced in November 2012 to support innovative projects that address immigrant talent hiring and retention challenges faced by BC employers. Funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of BC, Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training, applications for funding were accepted until December 18, 2012, and funding decisions were announced in February 2013.
