ACTION IS NEEDED TO STAY AHEAD OF THE CURVE
In the years to come, a major challenge facing Canada will be competing for talent. A strategic approach can yield a serious competitive advantage, and we need to look beyond today's recession to the worldwide talent shortages, which are being driven by ageing populations. We also need to be confident in our ability to meet these challenges in a way that builds on our values as Canadians. While larger organizations have internal resources to execute an employment strategy, small and medium-size enterprises need access to external tools, resources and programs to support their efforts.
